This year will be the last year that the Netherlands celebrates Queen's Day: the birthday of the Dutch queen. On April 30th the queen will give the crown to her eldest son: Prince Willem-Alexander. He will be king from that day on. EPSA wants to attend this historical orange moment, and has organised a trip for you to Amsterdam!
If you want to attend, the EPSA board will book two nights accommodation for you (from April 29th to May 1st) just outside of the city of Utrecht. From there it takes about 50 minutes with public transport to get to Amsterdam.
When: Arriving Monday 29th of April, departing Wednesday 1st of May.
Costs: Approximately 55 Euros in total, for 2 nights.
Transport: You may organise this yourself. It takes about 3 hours by train to Utrecht. You could also try to use Eurolines buses, it looks like if you book early they have good deals! Or you could try to arrange car pools of course. For all of you: buy a ticket to UTRECHT - not to Amsterdam.
Taking days off: You need to be able to take off work at least for Tuesday 30th. On May 1st everybody in the European Parliament is free due to a public holiday. According to what time you want to arrive on Monday, you could take a day/half a day off on Monday 29th of April. Best to discuss this with your supervisor.
If you want to join this trip, please send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Also sign up at the Facebook event.
You will have to pay the money for the accommodation up front. Please let us know soon if you want to join, as this is a very popular event and accommodation will be booked out soon.
Hopefully see you in Amsterdam!
