This Wednesday June 5th, EPSA will host its second General Assembly under the Spring Board 2013. This will be an important meeting as we will review EPSA's latest activities, consider EPSA's future and play host to Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament, who will address the stagiaires and will be available for a Q&A session.
EPSA is on its way to becoming a recognised organisation within the European Parliament with tighter bonds with the Traineeships Office. Therefore the EPSA board has been working on new internal rules for a representative body for trainees - and will propose such an organisation to the Traineeships Office in Luxembourg. We want to ensure consistency in the stagiaires organisation and build a resilient structure for future EPSA boards. As the EPSA board of spring 2013, we would appreciate your feedback on our work so far, on which we will also give you more information on Wednesday. As a fundamentally democratic organisation, EPSA encourages the input of its members!
One topic which serves as a good example of what can and should be defined is whether the future boards of EPSA should have a co-presidency; meaning a man and a woman sharing the position of President of EPSA (amending the current structure of having a President and a Vice-President). We will be happy to hear your opinions about this at the Assembly as input for creating the internal rules of EPSA.
Q&A with President Schulz
And, of course, President Martin Schulz will attend our meeting and will address us. You will also be free to ask questions about anything you like. So be prepared for this packed session and be on time for EPSA's 2nd General Assembly!
